E. Howard & Co. Boston Series III N-size 15J key wind key set adj gilt movement with lever escapement, gold timing screws, Geneva stop works and marked "Reed's Patent Nov.24.1857" on going barrel in H.O. & Co 18K YG hunting case with engine turned cuvette with Roman numeral porcelain single sunk dial, s#20518 129.7g TW c1865
CONDITION:
GRO (winds, sets and ticks), weak balance motion, the movement is in fair condition with some light tarnish in some areas. The very heavy 18K YG case appears to be original and is finely engraved and engine turned and in good condition with a few minor dings and some dimpling in the cuvette around the winding arbor. The dial is excellent with no hairlines. There is a short crack in the crystal.
